Grant-Aided Training Positions (K1)

HOW TO APPLY

 

All the information and forms you need for applying can be obtained through this website. If you are not comfortable with this, phone us (01363 773443) and leave your contact address or send us a POSTCARD with your contact address to the address given below and we will forward to you by post an Application Pack.

IMPORTANT: Please note that although you can download application forms from the web, ELECTRONIC APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. You must print out the forms, fill them in and send them by post to the address given below. The current round of applications closes with the first post on 

Tuesday 21st November 2006

This will be the final round of applications for the Kingfisher project.

Descriptions of the individual Training Placements available are accessible from the table on the Kingfisher home page. Potential applications should read through the Training Placement descriptions (click here if you want to browse these now)  and, if necessary, contact the ‘host organisation’ via telephone to discuss any relevant queries with the nominated person.

REMINDER:

Please note that to qualify you must be living or willing to live in the following areas (see Background Information page for a detailed listing of localities):

  • North Devon
  • Plymouth
  • South Hams
  • Torbay
  • Torridge
  • West Devon
  • West Somerset

You can check your existing postcode at http://www.objectivetwo.co.uk/home/ or you must be prepared to move to one of the above areas in order to satisfy the conditions of the grant aid.

All the host organisations welcome informal contact prior to application and are happy to discuss details of the placements on offer.

Once you have made your decision to apply for a placement, your must send an application to the following address by the closing date.

PLEASE ENSURE YOU HAVE FULLY READ THE BACKGROUND INFORMATION PAGE BEFORE YOU MAKE YOUR APPLICATION

Your application should contain the following:

1. A covering letter,  hand-written (if possible) by you  
2. An Application Form
3. Form ‘Your choice of ‘host organisation’
4. Form ‘Interview ID sheet’

(Click on the ‘download’ symbols to open a copy of each form as a Word Document. Save these forms to your computer and print them out. NOTE THESE FORMS MAY BE UPDATED FOR EACH ROUND OF APPLICATIONS. ALWAYS DOWNLOAD A FRESH SET OF FORMS AT THE TIME OF MAKING YOUR APPLICATION.)

Applications must reach the above address by first post on the closing date. Applications received after this time will not be considered.

As a small not-for-profit organisation, much as we would like to do so, we are unable to allocate resources to responding to all applicants.  If, therefore, you have not heard from the project by the time of the above interview dates you must consider your application to have been unsuccessful.
