Through the opportunity of this project in Belize, we the WRIScS team have made contact with a wide range of people involved in environmental issues. We have tried to share our collective experience in this field with as many of these people as possible. The sharing has taken place at both formal and informal levels.

'Hands-on' training for Equipment Use | Individual office and field training sessions for staff of institutions, for familiarisation with donated equipment. RoxAnn system, Marine Monitor CTD, current meters, suspended-sediment traps, river monitoring sensors. |

River Gauging Field Trip | A three-day trip to a Mountain Pine Ridge Resort in Belize, with a series of lectures and field sessions . Attended by members of the Hydrology Section of the National Meteorological Service |

Assistant Marine Science Officer Programme | A regular opportunity for Belizean Marine Biologists to spend a long working weekend on one of the Cays with the Raleigh dive-teams, experiencing a range of survey techniques. Attended by staff from a range of Belize Institutions with Marine responsibilities. |

Training Manual | Module 4 of the WRIScS Final Report is a compendium of River, Marine and Laboratory methodologies as used in the project, and specifically directed to the use equipment handed over to Belize institutions at the close of the study. |
