VOCATIONAL TRAINING 'learning' as we see it

AmbiosNVQ (previously known as Countryside Training)  was established in 1998 to provide the logistic framework for delivering Environmental Conservation National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs).

The organisation (a partnership between Simon Roper and Joanne Roper) is a registered centre with City and Guilds of London. This allows us to 'certificate' candidates who have demonstrated occupational competence in the vocational areas covered by the Environmental Conservation standards.

Centre coordinator Simon Roper works with two Assessors (Stuart Brooking and Adam Martin) and an Internal Verifier (Tony Scharer) to provide assessment and verification quality assurance for candidates working on Ambios Ltd projects. A External Verifier, Mike Todd, from City and Guilds provides a direct quality assurance link to the awarding body (City and Guilds).

AmbiosNVQ only provides Environmental Conservation NVQs via project funding. Interested and potential candidates should therefore watch for advertisements in the industry press for traineeships advertised by Ambios Ltd.

For further information on NVQs and/or current traineeships look at the Kingfisher website or contact Simon Roper
