The Eastern Pacific leatherback is in danger of extinction. Very few nests are laid on Guatemala beaches. The first nest laid this year is in the safe hands of Abby, Kate and Ivan at El Gariton - the whole nest of eggs is buried in the hatchery. La baule del Pacifico oriental se encuentra en peligro de extinción. Muy pocos nidos están puestos en las playas de Guatemala. El primer nido de este año esta en las manos seguras de Abby, Kate y Ivan en El Gariton - todo los huevos del nido están enterrados en el tortugario. |
